The Outer Banks Community Quilt Show returns to Roanoke Island Festival Park. The show takes place March 7-21 from 9 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday and Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm in the Administrative Office’s Event Room. Vintage and antique quilts of all sizes will be on display for visitors to admire. The show will include quilts made or owned by quilters from the area, and by those with close ties to the Outer Banks. A wide range of quilting techniques including quilting, embroidery, applique’, and other needlework and embellishments will also be showcased.
Featured Displays & Activities
Small Quilt Challenge – Visitors can vote for their favorite small quilt, located in the hall. This year’s theme is houses. This year’s back corner theme is wearable art.
Quilt Raffle – Enter to win this year’s themed quilt, created by various quilters in the area. Tickets are $1 each or 6 tickets for $5. The drawing will take place on the final day of the show, March 21. The winner does not need to be present to win.
