In March, “Stuck Here On Purpose” will assemble the most noteworthy examples from 35 issues of Milepost, including original renditions of commissioned art-pieces, large-scale reproductions of memorable photographs, and unseen images from a host of complex — and occasionally hilarious — photoshoots. Add a few fresh works by the profiled artists, plus an array of random, oddball objects and inside jokes, this month-long exhibit puts you inside the process that makes the mag — and salutes the people and the place that inspire every page. The show will be on display March 6-28 at the Dare County Arts Council.
The opening reception is on Friday, March 6 from 6pm – 8pm. There will be light hors d’oeuvres and libations, and guests will have the opportunity to meet some of the artists who have contributed to Outer Banks Milepost over the years. The reception is free and open to the public.
