The 6th Annual Outer Banks Halloween Parade presented by OBX Entertainment returns to Aviation Park in Kill Devil Hills on Sunday, October 27th. The venue provides parking available to the public at all First Flight schools and a parade route of about a half-mile starting and ending at Aviation Park.
The largest Halloween celebration on the Outer Banks, this family-friendly event starts at 2 p.m. with a pre-parade trick or treat party. The walking parade itself starts at 3 p.m., followed immediately by the awards ceremony for the best costumes in multiple age groups and categories. Thousands of dollars in prizes, graciously donated by local businesses, will be awarded to the costume contest winners.
Official registration for the parade must be completed in order to be eligible for the costume contest prizes. Admission and registration to this rain or shine event is free and all attendees, including spectators, are encouraged to come dressed in a costume in the spirit of the event.
The mission of the Parade of Costumes is to provide a safe and positive celebration of Halloween and its traditions for Outer Banks locals and visitors with loads of fun for adults and kids of all ages. Alcohol is not permitted.
