This year's South Atlantic Lifeguard Championships is coming to the Outer Banks! Nags Head will host the annual competition where ocean rescue teams from Virginia to Florida go head-to-head for the crown. Witness the region's fittest lifeguards engage in a dozen grueling individual and team tasks. Four local teams - Corolla, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills and Nags Head - will be competing. Put your pedal to the medal in this challenging bicycle race on Saturday, September 29th at North End Park in Manteo. Choose from 3 race distances starting at different times: 40K (24.8 miles) @ 7am; 20K (12.4 miles) @ 9:45am; and 8K (recreational ride) @ 10am... or try the 40K and 20K together.
