2015 Rogallo Kite Festival
The festival will be held at Jockey's Ridge State Park and Jockey’s Ridge Crossing and is FREE TO THE PUBLIC. Solar Eclipse Party
The Carolinas Solar Eclipse Party is a joint effort between North and South Carolina funded by NC Space Grant and SC Space Grant to coordinate dozens of eclipse viewing events for the public on Monday, August 21, 2017. Jockey’s Ridge State Park Holiday Lights
View light displays sponsored by Outer Banks area organizations, businesses and residents in the parking lot of Jockey's Ridge State Park on Fridays and Saturdays beginning on Saturday, November 24th in coordination with Kites with Lights and the lighting of the tree; running through December 29th. Sunset is approximately 5PM and the park will stay open until 7PM for viewing the lights. A hot cocoa booth will be staffed by Friends of Jockey's Ridge volunteers at the Visitor Center.

First Day Dune Hike
Celebrate the new year with a Dune Hike! Join a ranger to hike through a section of the park and learn about its history, habitats, and wildlife.
